Here's my 2019-2020 Missouri Girls HS Basketball ratings for All Classes combined.  I had fun rating all 537 teams.  You won't find this kind of rating anywhere in Missouri.

Missouri Girls HS Basketball Predictions 3/15/2020

I had more luck over on the Missouri boys side of HS ratings than I did with the girls, as I have spent several years refining the boys ratings.  I picked 58% of all games this past week but missed badly on classes one, two and three.  I had more luck with four and five, where I probably invested more calculating time. Unfortunately for me, I obviously irritated an obnoxious Walnut Grove fan who tweeted an cruel and ugly comment back.  I should have looked at their rich tradition of girls basketball success rather than my paltry ratings calculations from this year.  I don't know why we have so many politically incorrect crap on Twitter now a days.  Oh, wait!  We have bad role models running our country....LOL. Enough political commentary.  We were lucky to get these championship games in, 49 other states cancelled their high school play-offs.  I hope it was a good decision anyway. Missouri Girls HS Class One Basketball final ratings 4/07/2020

Well, last but not least, is the Missouri Girls HS Class One Basketball final ratings. I went through the algorithm a second time and it was an interesting situation.  Walnut Grove was clearly the best team on a weighted basis.  They won the class one title handily but there were four great teams at the top in Walnut Grove, Platte Valley, Community and South Iron.  On an un-weighted basis, Community actually had a better raw rating but when I looked at strength of schedule, Walnut Grove played a SOS of 97 vs. 88 for Community.  Community won by a spread of 33 vs. only 21 for WG but when you look at the caliber of teams, Walnut Grove clearly played some tougher teams which obviously helped them in the stretch run. Missouri Girls Class One Basketball rankings 3/01/2020

Here's my latest updated statistical rankings of all the Missouri class one girls basketball teams.  I have gathered more data on each team and taken the district game results into account.  It looks like there will be some highly contested games, with South Iron, Community and Walnut Grove the potential state champion. I took some heat earlier for publishing "not for prime time" ratings with some of my readers.  Hopefully the girls ratings will continue to improve and reflect the season's best teams.  It's not perfect but it is getting closer to the boys ratings which I have been doing for the past three years.
